The reversible cover for The Strength of the Few is one of the best ideas I’ve seen for a new book release, absolutely love that this was possible @IslingtonJames . Can’t wait to read it!
"I’ve never walked into a room so silent before. This is very — don’t laugh! Don’t laugh, you’re not allowed to do that!
You know what, just have a good time. And if you want to applaud, you applaud."
Great news today, and something I know a lot of you have been hoping for… ALL hardcover editions of The Strength of the Few will have a reversible jacket with both the new art, and a cover in the original style! Thrilled that Saga Press were willing and able to make this happen.
@BrentWeeks To me the sections fill the role of “mentoring” for the cast of hobbits, but it’s unique in that the one mentoring them isn’t immediately invested in the main plot like say Gandalf. Rather Tom seems more to be an embodiment of nature itself teaching them important lessons.

Princess Mononoke gives us one of the strongest examples of fully integrated masculinity I've ever seen in popular media. Prince Ashitaka is a perfect example of Carl Jung's fourth stage of logos development, represented by Hermes. "Finally, in his fourth manifestation, the animus is the incarnation of meaning. On this highest level, he becomes a mediator of ... spiritual profundity". Jung noted that "in mythology, this aspect of the animus appears as Hermes, the messenger of the gods." #podcast #princessmononoke #animetwt
Angles of R'lyeh by Marc Simonetti
"The nightmare corpse-city of R'lyeh...was built in measureless eons behind history by the vast, loathsome shapes that seeped down from the dark stars. There lay great Cthulhu and his hordes, hidden in green slimy vaults."
