@TheOneLanceB @smbcapital Also SMH is getting extended( over 7 ATR's above its 50SMA). Even though semi's are extremely strong its just not a clean setup with overbought conditions in the sector. With INTC blowout earnings driving semi's higher the NVDA follow through was likely a good opportunity.

@TheOneLanceB @smbcapital It wasn't the cleanest HTF setup. Previous day was largest range of the consolidation, but did bounce off the 10 SMA. Clear decrease in vol during the consolidation making it more likely for a breakout. Clean VWAP hold made it good move to move trade but probably not a swing.

Just wild how fast small caps adjusted to the new wide-stop algo traders.

What used to be put everything into the bid became put everything into the offers until 100-200% higher for guaranteed liquidity (or 100% higher after-hours for swingers).

$TGL prime example but we saw many more.

No inefficiency stays forever, the market is in an unstoppable mission to close out big outsized alpha.

The biggest mistake you can make in markets is think your edge will be here forever. The actual goal is to maximize your edge in a safe manner and constantly be on the lookout for new opportunities.

Now more than ever, with all tools available, you need an array of venues to create alpha depending on the market moods and shifts. At least think about them!

Most successful traders blow up because they do not want to believe their strategies were what made them and not themselves.

The best believe in themselves but also do not make it dependent on it. Constant preemptive work as if the markets have it out for them.
