@LeoraLev @RonelAdani @TomerPersico ברור שלא. חמאס גם רואה בכל ילד שחטף חייל פוטנציאלי. אבל השינוי התפיסתי פה הוא לא של חמאס אלא של מדינת ישראל. כי אם העמדה של מור ועמיחי תתפוס - זה בעיקר ישפיע על גישתה של ישראל כלפי האזרחים שלה שנחטפו ומעמדם וכלפי איך שהיא רואה (או איך יבינו שהיא רואה) את חמאס כאויב.

During the October 7 attack on Israel, Hamas and other terrorist groups committed atrocious crimes of sexual violence in multiple locations across the south of Israel. Needless to say, these acts constitute grave violations of international law, but the impact and trauma they have caused cannot be confined to legal qualifications. These acts of sexual violence were recognized in yesterday's publication of the @UN Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Sexual Violence in Conflict's mission report.

Ms. Pramila Patten and her team visited Israel in February to document the atrocities perpetrated by Hamas and other Palestinian armed groups during and since the October 7 events, with a view to including them in the annual report of the Secretary-General on Conflict-Related Sexual Violence.

During yesterday's press conference, she presented her main findings and recommendations, which were consistent with Israel’s claims.

The report acknowledged that there are reasonable grounds to believe that conflict-related sexual violence occurred during the October 7 attacks in multiple locations across the south of Israel.

It found clear and convincing information that women and children hostages have been subjected to various forms of sexual violence including rape, torture and cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment.

Tragically, the report noted that there are grounds to believe that such violence is ongoing.

The report also stresses that there is a significant likelihood that the findings of the mission team only partially reflect the crimes actually committed.

The true extent of sexual violence occurred during the October 7 attacks and their aftermath may take months or even years to emerge and may never be fully known.

This report sheds some light on Hamas' atrocities, and it reinforces the need for a global designation of Hamas as a terrorist organization.

@LeoraLev יכול מאוד להיות שזה מלובה בקמפיין בין-לאומי ציני. זה לא משנה את העובדות בשטח שיש אלימות, שישנה מגמת עלייה של היקף האלימות וחיכוך בין ישראלים לפלסטיניים ושמגמה זו מקבלת תשומת לב רבה. מידע זה לא רק מדווח על-ידי ארגונים שונים אלא גם עולה מגורמי המקצוע במערכת הביטחון שנמצאים בשטח.
