Not to be in the end for Matteo as he plays the last hole, three back of the lead.

A very positive tournament overall, first top 10 of the season (barring bogeys). Let's hope there's more to come

At age 16, Matteo Manassero became the youngest player to make the cut at the 2010 Masters. He finished T13 months prior at The Open.

At age 17, he became the youngest-ever winner on the DP World Tour (not once, but twice).

At age 20, he rose to 25th in the world.

Manassero then struggled for years and briefly stepped away from the game, eventually dropping to 1,805th in the OWGR.

Upon his return, bouncing between the Alps Tour and Challenge Tour, he called fellow Italian Francesco Molinari, for guidance.

Manassero made big changes in 2019, he said, and the game came back. He won twice on the Challenge Tour last season and in March broke a nearly 11-year win drought with his fifth @DPWorldTour victory.

This week at age 32, he is co-leading @RBCCanadianOpen in search of his first career PGA TOUR victory.

@erlalucas (thank you for the compliments and the replies man 🙏)

[Matteo Manassero Tracker @MatteoTracker]

He's gonna shoot 4 over par tomorrow and finish T37 after this tweet of mine (I'm a known jinxer), but Matteo is IN THE LEAD after 3 rounds at the #rbccanadianopen !!
Slowly getting used to the PGA Tour level, let's go!

[Matteo Manassero Tracker @MatteoTracker]

@erlalucas I post in english for bigger reach, but I'm from Italy like Matteo. Started watching golf because of him.

Problem is I'm not very regular in posting recently, it's been a busy time of my life. Tomorrow as well, I might be able to catch the last few holes, but not the rest 😕😔

Been out tonight and just seen Manassero at the top of the leaderboard in Canada. Hard to overstate the impressiveness of his resurgence. To grind your way back from playing on the Alps Tour ranked 1,805th in the world to a 54-hole lead on the PGA Tour. I hope he wins tomorrow.

@erlalucas Tomorrow could be historic

Meraviglioso Matteo Manassero @RBCCanadianOpen
Terzo giro chiuso in 64 colpi!!

So many young golfers over the years where you’ve wondered if they would be the next big thing. Remember Manassero making the round of 16 at the 2011 match play at just 18 and thinking we could have an all timer on our hands

[Dusty Nova @svendsen1229]

Matteo Manassero is -14, 6 under with 2 holes to play and leads by a shot over 4 golfers.

@Zatfra Cosa sta facendo...

[Matteo Manassero Tracker @MatteoTracker]

[Matteo Manassero Tracker @MatteoTracker]

Matteo is now 86th in the World! Still feels wrong somehow 😅
What a season so far

[Matteo Manassero Tracker @MatteoTracker]

It'll be a T4 for Matteo in the end.

It's a shame it wasn't more today, but overall another fantastic week.

From tomorrow, he will be back into the OWGR Top 100! 🔥
