@DanielJDrucker And now followed up with a consensus study on whether a trial is needed. Feel free to share this with your network! https://t.co/1PHIqGRrmR
Very happy to share another publication from the PADRAIC project.
This international and multidisciplinary consensus defines the need for an obesity-related cancer prevention trial and outlines refines an acceptable protocol -> https://t.co/1PHIqGRrmR

The hold/discontinue GLP-1 before a procedure” has no clothes. Here findings suggest that minimally sedated gastroscopy prior to colonoscopy, routine GLP-1 agonist withholding, and overly restrictive fasting are not required. https://t.co/CTAo4ScvNI

@mstotty88 Still not convinced on the GLP-1 drug induced pancreatitis story! This is the pre specified adverse events in the biggest and longest trial (4.5y, >18000 patients)
@mstotty88 Most big trials suggest billiary issues are pretty rare and dubious whether there’s an increased risk with GLP1 use. Absolute risk difference in the order of <0.5%. There’s definitely no reliable signal for greater GS pancreatitis risk that I’m aware of
