@ABC News continues to lie, this time privately to their friends in the press. This was a coordinated influence operation planted by our competition, not "premature publication".

7:01 AM October 7th, story goes live. Within minutes, dozens of high-profile commentators, politicians, and news outlets are sharing it with tens of millions of followers. We immediately contact ABC and demand they correct their false claims - after multiple rounds of refusal, they finally make a single one-word grammar edit. The editors stand by the reporting and insist the false claims are true.

Finally, eight hours after I was forced to call them out publicly, they delete everything. The editors hide all the comments, the author deletes his X account, and the story is completely wiped from their website without any explanation, directly violating SPJ ethics standards and ABC's own internal rules.

ABC is currently running a coverup operation, ignoring all of our requests for correction/retraction while telling their buddies to spread the word that this was nothing more than a CMS publication timeline error.

Jerome Powell is the most dishonest and failed Federal Reserve chairman in history, and he was egregiously negligent, and perhaps more, in managing the Fed building renovation.

In the recent Inspector General report, Powell blames most of the cost overruns on INFLATION. But that is a LIE. As the IG points out:

Inflation for new construction from March 2022 to October 2023 was 16%. For significant parts of the Fed construction project, costs grew 203%, ballooning from $178 Million to $539 million during same time period.

For another part of the Fed construction project, from March 2022 to June 2025, costs grew 454% from $28 million to $155 million, much more than the 19% inflation during same period.

Finally, per the IG report, “the 7 construction costs categories that make up $799 million of the overall $960 million construction cost increase had increases ranging from 88% to 588%, far greater than the 24% increase” in inflation from March 2022 to January 2026.

Jerome Powell is a liar and did a great disservice to this nation for doing this horrible job.

President Trump has been 1000% on target in calling out Powell for this grossly negligent and perhaps worse performance.

Something stinks to high heaven here and Powell’s performance should be subject to additional investigation on the heels of this damning IG report.

Powell should resign in disgrace from the Board.
