I’d like to reiterate how difficult it is to have granola infected with salmonella. It’s even more difficult than chili peppers, and no, it’s not “foreign producers” that are the problem. It’s quality control and standards not being enforced.

"Last year, the British Insurance Industry produced a special report on the climate crisis. It predicted that at 3°C of global heating, possible by 2050, at least 4 billion people will die. That is half the world's population.
We have known this reality is coming for decades. Now it has arrived.

BREAKING: The Trump administration is actively discussing using nuclear weapons on Iran in strategy meetings, per former US Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene.
MTG says "yes you read that correctly. It's real. I'm not speculating, I know."
"Our government is the one actually discussing lowering the nuclear threshold in order to use nuclear weapons against Iran even though Trump claims he's won the war like 40 times and says the US controls the Strait of Hormuz," she adds.
They are discussing using nuclear weapons on Iran in strategy meetings.
Yes you read that correctly. It’s real. I’m not speculating, I know.
And it’s pure evil.
The last time a nuclear weapon was used was August 6th and 9th of 1945 on two cities in Japan, Hiroshima and Nagasaki, immediately killing 110,000 people, vaporizing people at ground zero, and total deaths reached 214,000 by the end of the year from severe burns and trauma.
But the extreme suffering continued for the Japanese people from radiation sickness, skyrocketing cancer rates, and generational birth defects.
Not to mention wiping out all means of their economy.
And the suffering was so great that all of humanity vowed, “never again.”
Trump and his admin were told by our own intelligence that Iran was no where near creating a nuclear weapon, then Israel said the same line it’s repeated for decades, “Iran is only weeks away.”
So we bombed anyways, killed their leaders and innocent little children in a school, and Iran has controlled the Strait of Hormuz ever since and punished the region for their part in it.
And now our government is the one actually discussing lowering the nuclear threshold in order to use nuclear weapons against Iran even though Trump claims he’s won the war like 40 times and says the U.S. controls the SoH.
Trump promised no more foreign wars, but may actually be the one who delivers a nuclear holocaust that would likely drag the entire world into major conflict, economic depression, and mass human suffering we’ve never seen in our lifetimes and maybe throughout history.
People need to speak out and boldly stop this insanity.
America is not untouchable.
If and when that happens, everyone, and I do mean everyone, will hold ALL of those in leadership right now fully responsible for the rest of human history.
Do not use nuclear weapons and stop this war NOW.
🚨BREAKING: Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear issued an ultimatum to Senator Mitch McConnell, demanding that the 84-year-old senator either provide direct, verbal proof of his capacity to continue serving or resign from office.
Beshear also sent a letter to Senate Majority Leader John Thune, urging leadership to investigate McConnell's condition.
Breaking: Paxton colluded with Trump. He sued Trump’s DOJ, but DOJ was already waiting and never even had to be served. Within hours, both sides asked the judge for the exact same outcome. Filed and settled the SAME DAY.
Now an emergency federal filing calls it a “friendly” lawsuit and “collusive settlement,” alleging Paxton and Trump’s DOJ used a coordinated lawsuit to bypass the normal federal rulemaking process.
Because they’re both corrupt. https://t.co/9ehaXI3WDB
Twelve years since you left us, Dad. And I never stopped talking to you.
I tell you about the people who write to me because you got them through their worst night. I tell you about the work, the wins, the days that ask too much.
Mostly I tell you about your grandchildren. They know your laugh. They ask about what you were like. I tell them you were kind.
You spent your life making people feel less alone. That job is ours now.
Miss you today. Miss you always. Love you forever.
In the US the total routine injections by age 2, is 13.
They are:
Hep B, Valexis (DTaP, IPV, Hib), PCV, Valexis dose 2, PCV dose 2, Vaxelis dose 3, PCV dose 3, PCV booster, MMR(V), Hib booster, Hepatitis A #1, DTaP booster, Hepatitis A #2
In Denmark, by age 2 it is 11 doses because they combine their hepatitis boosters with the MMRV doses.
Even with voluntary inoculations, no child in the US has 72 injections.
The average American who is not diabetic, will take 53~ years to reach 72 injections, assuming they get an annual flu shot.
There also is no blanket “European Standard” of inoculation, it varies by country with Denmark being the lowest because they have approved combination doses.
A child in Denmark still gets all the same vaccines that a US child did before Trump’s proposed changes.
They just think you’re too stupid to look.
This rule hasn't hit the Federal Register yet. When it does, there's a 90-day public comment period, and you don't need to be a lawyer or an expert to weigh in. Anyone can submit a comment. A sentence is enough.
In the meantime, your senators can act now. Tell them you oppose gutting Arctic drilling safety rules with no functioning cleanup plan behind them.

It's not too late to stop this the same way it got stopped in 2021.
There is no known way to clean oil out of Arctic sea ice.
Not a partial method. Not an experimental one. None.
If oil gets trapped under the ice, it stays there. It moves with the ice. It comes back up wherever the ice melts, months or years later, with nothing anyone can do to stop it.
The same ice polar bears hunt from.
The same water bowhead whales migrate through every single year.
The same water Iñupiat families have fed their communities from for generations.
This week, the Trump administration moved to strip a rule most people have never even heard of, the 2016 Arctic Exploratory Drilling Rule, built to stop that exact spill from happening. This isn’t a story you’ve already read.
Companies are currently required to keep a backup rig on standby anytime they drill an offshore well in the Arctic. That backup rig is what drills a relief well fast enough to stop a blowout. Without it, a blowout could run uncontrolled for months, through winter, through total darkness, through ice no ship can reach.
The rule itself has a history. The first Trump administration tried this same rollback in 2020. It failed. Biden killed it in 2021. Trump brought it back again, quieter, banking on nobody remembering the first time.
Burgum called killing it a "disciplined, mission-focused approach that strengthens regulatory efficiency." He didn't mention he holds an oil lease of his own, one he didn't agree to sell off until after he was already nominated to run the agency making this call.
Cooper Freeman, Alaska director for the Center for Biological Diversity, wasn't buying it: "There's no such thing as safe drilling in the Arctic Ocean, and that's why it should never, never happen." He called the whole endeavor "incredibly expensive, risky, dangerous, uncertain."
Interior's own safety regulators warned in December they don't have the staff to police an expanded Arctic drilling program. Four people. For the entire state.
Who's supposed to clean up a spill that nobody on Earth has figured out how to clean up?

@MarinaPurkiss When we make things too uncomfortable for them to ignore us any longer. At the moment everyone in power is serving the corporations & billionaires at the expense of everything else. We need a global general strike to make them realize they answer to us not the 1%.
It is now very clear that we have a full-blown climate emergency.
I have previously explained that the climate crisis is not anthropogenic climate change, as described by science. But the dangerous and reckless way, our political leaders and governments, have totally ignored the warnings about climate change.
The reason I say we have a full-blown climate emergency, is for the very same reason. Anthropogenic climate change, the associated heatwaves and wildfires, the warnings of food shortages, is so clear, that you have to be deep in irrational, cult like denial of reality, not to acknowledge it. But that is what the political leadership of all major governments are doing. They should be declaring a state of emergency, but instead they are barely mentioning climate change at all, in a pathetic attempt to gaslight the public.
The modern political/economic system, obsessed with economic growth, is a dangerous death cult.

Here's the truth. If we don't do a general strike we're going to die. We have to stop going to work, stop taking kids to school, stop paying rent and our mortgages and only buy necessities. Yeah I know I can't afford to not work either And all that but if we don't we're going to die. That's it people. We are going to die. We need to collapse everything. Let the Earth heal like it did during the pandemic. We have to be willing to die for a new world or the existing one is going to kill us anyway
"Record low water levels in Europe’s major rivers have curtailed the transport of goods, reduced electricity output and shrunk company earnings, stoking fears about the economic impact of searing heat and erratic rainfall"
I cannot for the life of me, understand why this was not foreseen. I was clearly warning on the Guardian comments section 16 years ago, that the early leading edge effects of climate change, would hit us soon, and have huge societal and economic impacts. I gave a very specific time frame. Starting from 15 years in the future, and how on the current trajectory, without major system change, it was very unlikely our civilization would avoid major collapse by 2050. I was not saying our civilization would collapse in 2050, but that it was very unlikely we would get their without major system change.
No one else was warning about this, and they were all focused on sea level rise and extreme heat, late in the 21st Century. All I did was to apply well known ecological principles, to human society.
Most people don't know, that scientifically ecology, which I am a graduate in, is artificially delineated, to only study the ecological interactions of non-human organisms. For some very strange reason, human society is treated as somehow, separate from natural organisms and natural systems, which is absolutely ridiculous, as it so obvious, that we are whole reliant on natural systems and have a massive impact on them. Personally, I think the reason for this was to hide our impacts on the natural world, which would not please vested interests, and make ecology controversial.
So all I did, was to apply well known ecological principles, and generalisations, to human society. As soon as you do this, it is shocking and reveals some profound and worrying dangers humanity is facing, which have been totally ignored in previous evaluations of the impact of climate change on us.
I just cannot understand, how through some sort of orchestrated official, establishment denial, that it was falsely imagined that human society, would get to the end of this century, to experience big sea level rises etc. When without major system change, our civilization will collapse, well before the end of our century.
Let me briefly explain what I mean by major system change. I mean the complete end of the modern industrial capitalist system, and the whole of business as usual. I am not a political ideologue, who has some preferred ideal of how human society will be. Only that it has got to be sustainable and possible, because on the current trajectory, we are heading towards the total collapse of our civilization, which is systematically destroying the natural systems it relies on for its survival.
I am not a Marxist, because of its fetish with industrial power. Plus I don't believe any ideology, is at all helpful in building a sustainable society, because it all falsely imagines that the problems are well known and the solutions already known. Whereas no one currently knows what a sustainable society would look like. We only know what an unsustainable society looks like, because we are living in one.
It will take a huge collaborative project, learning from our mistakes as we go along, to create a sustainable society. Anyone trying to convince that they already know the solutions, aside from stopping the stupid self-destructive things we are doing, is a charlatan. As @GretaThunberg has said, the politics to address the climate and ecological crisis, has not yet been invented.
PS For further clarity. Those trying to stop climate action, normally cite the economic costs of addressing the climate crisis. This is bizarre, false thinking, the costs of not addressing the climate crisis, and impacts on our economy, will be infinitely greater, than the massive system change, necessary to avert catastrophe.
