I think an underrated quality of Gunn is that he's hyper aware of online discourse regarding his movies and also accepting of criticisms too and he's willing to change things based off of that. I think for the most part it works. I also think he respects the fans and accepts he doesn't know it ALL.
It's kind of wild how people perceive what someone has said while also entirely missing the point. And nobody is telling you to "waste" your money. What you do with your money is entirely up to you. And what you consider a waste of money, others consider a worthy allocation of theirs.
I hear you. To that point, I don't agree that they have this in their marketing plan - I think it is unfair to people who likely don't have the means to see it in this particular format. Maybe they should only show these advertisements in specific areas with access to these theaters..
@GubGolff@nathanrobii It's okay to give a perspective on a matter you know? And it's okay if you don't agree, but tell me why you don't agree instead of replying without adding any valuable information on the topic.
@spidersjane yeah i wonder if there are ongoing conversations about adding more true IMAX theaters around the country. i hope so. people should have access to see these films that are shot this way.
@OrikonTMR Hundreds of thousands, if not, millions of people will have the chance to see it how it was intended, though. Unfortunately, a premium viewing experience like IMAX 70mm won't be accessible to everyone, but it doesn't mean it wasn't experienced by many.
