Incidentally, this was my first marathon win.
After crossing the finish line, I asked the officials/children where my medal was and they said: "We don't give medals to people who finish last!"
Anyhow, the StL medal came in the mail today so look who's laughing now.
First time I've got a medal/shirt for race I didn't run, but... strange times.
Although I didn't get to run past the arch, I was able to finish the One Man Marathon near home - with a PR! Thank you @GOfitnessSTL for keeping us safe & getting me motivated.
Hope to see you in '21.
Special thanks to these awesome Digital Leaders who presented to the Clow staff today! They also have a plan for sharing their presentation with all students in our building👍🏼@KidsMatter2U@mollymackey@NikkiFader#futureready204
@katiebennett204@ipef204@ipsd204@ClowCougars Great job, Team Clow! Thank you for all you do to support students at yesterday’s run and every day. Lucky to have my kids learning from such a fantastic team.
My dad and I completed the #RWRUNSTREAK together today - ran every day from Memorial Day to 4th of July.
Years ago, my dad started me running; now he inspires me to keep going!
@1001chicago Belated congratulations, Paul! Mathematically, you're 2.21460176991 times as great as that old hack Ben Hecht. As a writer, you're at least 2.21460176992 better than that old hack Ben Hecht. What an inspiring project.
I know you and Sam have many thousands of great stories ahead.
