@andrewbullard15 I think the word needs different definitions for different fields. For instance a theologian, sociologist, and a psychologist all use the word differently. I don’t feel qualified to comment on the second two fields.

@SolarChildX1 I’m at an extremely healthy church. I asked one of the OG pastors what made the church so healthy. He told me it was after the founding pastor resigned had an affair. They had to ruthlessly evaluate everything as they brought in new leadership.

@parousia70 I think you are missing my point. when the prophecies are fulfilled a second time, they are fulfilled in a different way. For instance, Isaiah’s fulfillment of the child in Isaiah’s day looks different than the virgin being with child in Christ.

(I think there is an intentional literary thing happening here where Christ is born of a virgin to show that he is born of Isaiah‘s prophecies.) There are tons of other examples of NT authors applying previously fulfilled prophesies to Christ. 5/
