@LOTR_Daily_ “What do you fear, lady?"
"A cage," she said. "To stay behind bars, until use and old age accept them, and all chance of doing great deeds is gone beyond recall or desire.”
@RonFilipkowski Clooney changed his appearance specifically to play Edward R. Murrow in the Broadway adaption of “Good Night, and Good Luck” — he was in the movie of the same name with David Strathairn as Murrow

Murrow is the caliber of journalist we need right now
@gnuman1979 This was my first buddy -- or actually one just like it -- a 5-speed Texas Ranger bike with a silver seat, silver handlebar grips and a black paint job. I thought I was the king of the neighborhood.
Gov. Bob Graham was an amazing fellow. In my former life as a journalist, I had the pleasure of meeting him on numerous occasions, and it was always the same man: gentle, intelligent, erudite, eloquent, but most importantly sympathetic and empathetic.
But he knew where it all began and what was the source of all other vocations: teaching. He bookended his 400 different "Work Days" in a classroom with kids. We may never again see his like. While I am sad to hear of his parting I am happy to know that his legacy will continue.
@alevine014 Awwww, sorry to hear that Alan. It's losing part of the family. My little guy is dealing with chemo right now so I know what you're feeling, bro.
@Deggans That was a terrific -- and different -- Florida Matters! Great to hear from the ladies, too. Lot of changes in the nerd community. My D&D group had all of three or four women through the decades. In my son's group now, it's a majority women. Go nerds/blerds ... and werds?!
@craigtimes@Tim_Dorsey So sorry to see one of the great Florida writers leave us. My condolences to his family and thanks to them for sharing Tim and his work with us.
My friend @Tim_Dorsey was one of those rare people who's as funny in person as he was on the page. In 26 books about #Florida-obsessed "sequential killer" Serge Storms, he taught us what an amazing state we live in & what should befall those who'd ruin it. #RIP Tim, 62.
