Excited to partner with New Mexico Center for Pain & Wellness. By streamlining back-office workflows, they’re giving care teams more time to focus on what matters most: patients.
We’ve loved working with Christian Morris, Broc Galbreth, and the NM team!
@HoneyHealthai and I will be at JPM in San Francisco starting Jan 12. Looking forward to reconnecting and talking about where AI is headed in healthcare’s back office.
If you’ll be around, let me know — happy to grab a few minutes at St. Francis, Bella Cafe, or Cento Coffee.
The joy of founder-led sales ❤️
Hundreds of sales calls this year and I loved it. Talking to customers is the fastest way to understand where ops break and where products should go next.
Founder-led sales isn’t a phase — it’s how great founders stay close to the truth.
Final 2026 prediction: healthcare shifts from AI copilots to full autonomy.
Copilots don’t scale. End-to-end automation in the back and front office does.
The model changes from “AI helps staff” to “AI does the work, humans manage exceptions.”
Founder pride: In 2025, Honey helped customers save millions in labor costs.
For every $1 spent with us, customers cut admin costs by $2.91 — scaling without adding headcount and avoiding backfills in a brutal labor market.
2025 proved the ROI is real.
2026 is when it scales.
2026 Prediction #4: Epic will be tested.
The EHR game is shifting from record-keeping to AI-driven automation. Epic’s new AI roadmap (with Microsoft) shows how fast expectations are changing.
AI is no longer a feature — it’s the battleground.
8VC’s vision for autonomous patient care is exciting — but admin AI isn’t autonomous yet.
Most back-office AI is still human-in-the-loop while prior auths, faxes, and records crawl.
We can’t build the penthouse before fixing the basement.

Prediction #3: Back-office attrition will hit a historic peak — and won’t rebound.
Reimbursements are rising ~2–3%, while labor + benefit costs climb 5–10%. Providers can’t raise admin wages enough to retain staff. Turnover rises, roles empty out, and they don’t come back.
Seeing a big shift in 2026 planning: AI is being budgeted like labor. Teams want cost per task, effective hourly rate, and how spend scales with volume.
Usage-based pricing fits — AI does measurable work, so buyers want measurable pricing.
How are others approaching this?
Never thought I’d say this after LinkedIn, but: we have the best fax AI in the market.
Honey Health is fixing the “unsexy” problems—fax triage, prior auths, intake, data fetching—because solving the basement of healthcare unlocks everything above it.

Clinicians don’t want more AI they want less time in the EHR.
Ambient documentation gives back the hours lost to notes + inboxes. As big systems adopt it, the question becomes: why are our clinicians still typing?
Is there a healthcare AI bubble? Maybe on hype + valuations — but CIOs are already seeing real gains in documentation, admin burden, and workflow efficiency.
The bubble will burst for vendors without true impact. Back-office automation is here to stay.

Prediction #2 for 2026: Healthcare shifts from testing AI to scaling it.
2024–25 were the “try AI” years. In 2026, providers get sharper: real automation wins, GPT wrappers fade. Expect tighter buying, clearer ROI, and big consolidation.
2026 is about scaling what works.
Thanks to @bayareawriter for including Honey Health in Crunchbase’s roundup on Healthcare AI trends.
AI funding in healthcare is rising fast — better tech, urgent need, real provider adoption, and clearer paths to scale. Exciting moment for the sector.

Prediction #1 for 2026: the EHR arms race has begun.
AI is about to widen the gap between top EHRs and everyone else.
Those who can build/partner on AI become “systems that work.” Many others won’t survive.
Epic, Oracle, MEDITECH, athena, eCW are pulling ahead.
“I might be wrong, but I’m not confused.”
Startups live in ambiguity. You’ll never have perfect data or certainty. What matters is building conviction fast, acting on it and learning even faster.
Move with speed, commit fully, and be willing to find out quickly if you’re wrong.
We @HoneyHealthai dropped a short video showing how our AI agents are transforming the healthcare back office — from faxes to refills to prior auths.
Plus discussing our $7.8M seed round with @thogge@Pelion_VP.
Just the beginning.
As a T1D, I’ve seen how back office work slows care.
Enter @HoneyHealthai — AI staff for the entire back office.
Today, we’re announcing our $7.8M Seed led by @thogg at @Pelion_VP to help providers eliminate the admin paperwork.
