An Islamic immigrant armed with a knife attacked a Canadian on the street after asking if he was Muslim.

When the man said no, he prayed, then slashed at his throat. He boarded a bus and tried to slit another Canadian’s throat.

Abdul Aziz Kawam told 911 he did it “on behalf of the Islamic State” and pledged allegiance to ISIS.

Both men survived.
He was convicted of attempted murder and assault with a weapon for the benefit of a terrorist group. Sentencing is still pending, with prosecutors seeking a 20-year prison sentence.
He is not a Canadian citizen and faces deportation.
