They have been there, done that at the FCS level. Repeatedly. Nothing left to prove.

Main one “why move up when you can play for titles.” For 95% of FCS fans, a semifinal is a euphoric moment when your team is there every 4-5 years. And I get that.

But that human can’t relate to the fan mentality of NDSU success. SDSU/Montanas are closest but still far off
