The @CFTC and @CMEGroup have idley stood by while "we-fund-you" futures market bucket-shop prop firms have taken more than $100 million from aspiring traders' pockets with the promise that real trading capital will be provided to them if they are successful with complicated paper trading. These firms are unregistered with the CFTC even though their "clients" are placing real bets on CME price data through a complicated proxy model that is creating an unregistered OTC futures exchange. The business models of these firms meet the legal definitions of "ponizi" and "pyramid" schemes. These firms also have questionable linkage to FCMs even while not registered as "IBs"
The CFTC has known about this industry but done nothing to protect consumers
