The choke point of value to the masses is complexity. Complexity requires expertise which narrows the market for solutions. This is why I believe UX has so much value in Product Design and Development. Reducing complexity unlocks value for larger portions of the market.

All of which matters. It's a sloppy statistic which a lot of people pass of as a stand alone gold standard when it absolutely is not.
