Totally agree Kyle! Allowing all Canadians to have equal access to all aspects of health care will be one step closer to healthcare in Canada becoming completely universally covered #PHARM4420
Once our current spending has been optimized to improve health outcomes more cost-effectively we can look into expanding coverage into essential services like pharmacare to allow all Canadians to have equal access to all the areas of medicine. #Pharm4420

@Kyle_Fraser13 Great point Kyle! I'm wondering at which point someone can call any medical treatments as 'unnecessary" when outside of a hospital setting. I believe one great step in the right direction is to make all these medications covered in the near future #PHARM4420
(Dr. Brett Belchetz) says that “Canadian law has been clear that fees can be charged for services that aren’t medically necessary and that provinces get to determine what that applies to”. Canada is said to have universal health care, (1/2) #PHARM4420

but there’s clearly some aspects of the healthcare system are not covered including things such as dental bills, and some prescription medications. Maybe a reallocation of our healthcare funding needs to be completed in order to achieve the goal of assuring all aspects #PHARM4420
@JinhyeongKim11 Pharmacists really showed just how important they are when battling through the pandemic. Prescribing Paxlovid resulting in a reduction in hospital cases just goes to show the impact pharmacists can have on the health-care system!
@Michael_Lahey10 I agree buddy, in order for a pharmacist led clinic to work here in our province at it's highest capabilities, our scope of practice being expanded is crucial for delivering the best health care possible to our patients #PHARM4420
As pharmacist led clinicians began to arise in Canada, they are seen to relieve a stress burden from the emergency care systems, increase access to care for patients, and reduce patient wait times. I hope to see this soon adopted here in NL #Pharm4420
