Its entirely possible, however even with the US out of NATO, there a few factors that would prevent that.
1. Turkey has the second largest military in NATO. We know that Isreal makes risky moves, but only if they know the US will not retaliate. Thats why they attacked Lebanon and Syria without the US, and only attacked Iran with the US. There already are tensions between the admin and Isreal over Iran. I think Turkey would be way to risky on their part.
2. Even if the US is out of NATO, plenty of other decently strong military forces are still in it, such as France and the UK. Netanyahu and Trump have even admitted that they are not particularly friendly towards Isreal.
3. If the US does not involve itself militarily, it would still do so through diplomatic means.
Im not saying it isn't possible but I dont they want to take that risk. Its sort of like the logic behind mutually assured destruction.
JUST IN: 🇺🇸 President Trump says the US spent $999 billion on NATO from 2014-2025 while the UK spent $90.5 billion and France spent $66.5 billion.
"Without getting any benefit from doing so."
