This week, I achieved a personal and professional goal that I long feared was beyond my grasp - I started the Fall semester on the tenure-track! I'm thrilled to share that I've accepted a position in the #ELRT Department @WesternMichU!

This was a fun message to receive this morning! I'm not sure how common this is, but as a junior faculty member, it was a nice encouragement!

@JamesRobichaux@awprokop It's unclear how this would fix an inflation problem - we have had low unemployment for several years with very good macroeconomic growth. If inflation experiences/perceptions are the fundamental problem, how does guaranteed employment in a high-inflation environment help?
@awprokop It is difficult to see what this will mean for future economic crises and the political/policy responses within fiscal and monetary policy domains.
@awprokop I think you are right, but this is a difficult policy reality to digest—that the political incentive is to focus grievous economic harm on a small portion of the population rather than diffuse that harm over all of us.
@awprokop But is the implication of this reality that, as a political matter, Democrats should not govern towards low-employment/high inflation in times of economic crisis and instead allow economic calamity to focus on a smaller portion of the population through unemployment?
@JDVance Springfield resident - lived here all my life. These stories are made up - the people who started this have said so themselves. You know this. Stop lying before someone in my town gets hurt.
@PatrickODare1@DavidAFrench Interesting - do you have some case law you can share on this? How does one make the distinction between deceptive and defamatory? It feels like any content intentionally manipulated would inherently be defamatory, as it ascribes thought, belief, or action that is untrue.
@Noahpinion Where are you getting those immigrant numbers? I’ve been very frustrated at the lack of transparency from my city on where they are getting their numbers.

A hateful, destructive fool! All of this is made up - now we have bomb threats at schools and hospitals. Two neo-Nazi marches in the past month. Just stop - for the sake of your own children stop!

Just stop! Bomb threats at schools, hospitals. You have put my town in crisis over something that the woman who started has admitted to making up!
Springfield, OH resident here - please note the many (including my own) notes to your senate office about the wonderful social and economic benefits the community has received from the Haitian immigrants. You do serve all Springfield residents, don't you?
In the last several weeks, my office has received many inquiries from actual residents of Springfield who've said their neighbors' pets or local wildlife were abducted by Haitian migrants. It's possible, of course, that all of these rumors will turn out to be false.
Do you know what's confirmed? That a child was murdered by a Haitian migrant who had no right to be here. That local health services have been overwhelmed. That communicable diseases--like TB and HIV--have been on the rise. That local schools have struggled to keep up with newcomers who don't know English. That rents have risen so fast that many Springfield families can't afford to put a roof over their head.
Here is Kamala Harris bragging about giving amnesty to thousands of Haitian migrants.

If you're a reporter, or an activist, who didn't give a shit about these suffering Americans until yesterday, I have some advice:
Spare your outrage for your fellow citizens suffering under Kamala Harris's policies. Be outraged at yourself for letting this happen.
It was a pleasure speaking to my good friend Cort Schneider on his podcast Sports, Identity, and the Disability Blue! We discussed the joy of the Paralympic Games and how they show us inclusion in practice!
