The OPP Auxiliary Policing Program is renowned for its dedicated volunteers who serve communities across Ontario with pride, professionalism, and honour. OPP Auxiliary members play a vital role in supporting frontline officers and enhancing community safety. Comprised of volunteers from diverse backgrounds, including those pursuing careers in policing and professionals who want to make a difference in their communities, their commitment to service is evident in the approximately 160,000 hours of volunteer work logged each year.

As we celebrate this remarkable anniversary, we honour the exemplary service and impact of all past and present auxiliary members in communities across the province.

Due to widespread weather-related incidents, including flooding, forest fires, extreme heat, and hazardous driving conditions, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is urging the public to remain alert and informed by using the appropriate resources for timely updates.

Please do not call 911 for road closures, weather updates, traffic conditions, or other non-emergency information. This ties up emergency lines and delays response to those that require emergency assistance.

Auxiliary officers and Civilian members from Frontenac OPP partnered up with the North and Central Frontenac Township food Bank yesterday in Sharbot Lake, to collect food and donations.

The community was exceptionally generous in donating over $1700 dollars and 600lbs of food.

Many thanks to all those who supported this event in making a contribution to help the communities we serve.^rm

If you must be on the roads, adjust your driving to match the conditions. SLOW DOWN, leave extra following distance, give yourself extra time, keep your eyes on the road and don't make any sudden maneuvers that could cause you to lose control of your vehicle. Make sure to top up your fuel and your washer fluid. Consider packing an emergency kit (find details on what to include in another post).
