Or the patronising tone it takes towards shitty visitors whoare not evil for not being able to find toilets etc in poorly laid out museums. There is a lack of empathy in it all, one that comes from a position of cultural capital, of knowing how to ‘behave’ in museums
I can’t tell if it is the way it continues to divide curatorial staff from visitor services staff (who after all are the ones answering questions in galleries about collections and interpretation day in and day out)
Very specific gripe: now it is called the London Museum Docklands, not Museum of London Docklands, I can no longer use MoLD whilst writing. Which, to my mind, is much superior than LMD
