A1: I will include things in my lessons that keep me excited to teach!! I will use things that students are excited about to help them be engaged in their learning. #smsutlap
A2: Teachers need to make their lessons stand out to promote student engagement. If students understand and know why they are learning they will be excited to learn. #smsutlap
A3: I have heard those six words said to me and to students in a classroom. Itโs frustrating to hear as it is demeaning to a student that has the skills to do well on something. I would tell people to celebrate students abilities!! #smsutlap
Q3: How many of you have heard of the "six words" said to you? If so what advice could you give others to help them in areas they struggle with in the classroom? #SMSUtlap#tlap
A2: Itโs important to analyze what went wrong and fix it. I would look at the struggles that happened in a lesson and look for new ideas to help the next time go better! #smsutlap
A4: I would try to create different activities that incorporate different intelligences. This helps all students to learn in the most effective way. #smsutlap
A3: An activity that I would do to build rapport would be having students write about their interests. This will allow me to get to know students and incorporate their interests in future lessons. #smsutlap
A2: A great ice breaker could be having students say their name and do a fun action after. The next student would have to repeat the name of the last student and do their action. Students would have a great time trying to remember all their classmates actions #smsutlap
A1: One idea would just be to have fun and play games to get to learn more about your students. This shows them that it will be a fun year and that you care about them! #smsutlap
