America, it's time to celebrate!
At President Donald J. Trump's direction, gates to the National Mall will reopen at 9:45 PM. The Salute to America celebration will move forward, the President will deliver remarks at 11:00 PM, and the fireworks spectacular will follow.
Rain or shine, the American people deserve a celebration worthy of our nation's historic 250th birthday.
For 250 years, Americans have overcome every challenge with grit, resilience, and determination. A little rain will never diminish our pride, our patriotism, or our celebration of the greatest nation in the history of the world.
Considering where we are on this debate in 2026, let's recall that the founding fathers declared our independence in part because Britain wasn't letting the states receive more immigrants.
Offering my thoughts on the new MOU with Iran. It's not the final deal, but it gave up so much that I'm actually shocked. What did we fight this conflict for if we were willing to give up on the very things that were used to justify it?
Our experts assess the MOU with the Iran. While a final deal is in the works, the concessions made under this interim deal are so significant it's a wonder it hasn't been subjected to the same scrutiny as the JCPOA.

@atrupar Arguably he is likely "judging" that by throwing a wrench in the works he can extend the war. Since at least the JCPOA discussions, it's been clear that the strategy has been to get the United States to initiate a regime change operation.
@james_acton32 This entire diplomatic fiasco has just shown how unprofessionally handled the process has been. Jumping the gun 10s of times, disagreements between both sides about what's actually in the deal... What a mess.
In our latest article, we take a look at the Houthis' threats to disrupt transit through the Bab al-Mandeb Strait. This move would undoubtedly increase the economic consequences of the conflict with Iran and increase leverage against the U.S., so why haven't they done it? https://t.co/lE6vQsufZs
@Aviation_Intel My instinct is that as you have outlined, since the maintenance requirements would be so severe and costly, this would fly extraordinarily rarely. But man would it be cool!
Multiple beloved U.S. Navy traditions, including the Crossing the Line ceremony and Chief Petty Officer initiation, have (and likely continue to have) elements of crossdressing.
During WWII GIs would put on drag shows.
"This is the Army" which starred Regan had actors in drag.
@StateDept Posting about this isn't exactly helpful for the diplomatic process. You have professionals who work for you that understand this. Consult with them.
. @MaxBoot makes solid points in today's @washingtonpost about the Navy Secretary's firing & the battleship program. The Iowa-class battleships were impressive β you should tour one. But they are museums for a reason. In the age of drone swarms, hypersonic missiles, and stealthy submarines, concentrating firepower in a handful of enormous, expensive, and easily targeted platforms is the wrong direction. The "Golden Fleet" sounds good. Distributed firepower across many smaller, faster, unmanned platforms is a better strategy. https://t.co/ClTV0ashSL
