It was such an honour to be at my alma matter today for the Candidate's Debate, representing the Conservative Party of Canada. Having a debate before the Kuper studnet body was a full circle moment for me. Being welcomed back at the school by the incredible staff and students reminded me of why I stepped up and got into politics. I want to inspire the next generation and show them that partaking in our great democracy is within reach for any one of them. Thank you, Kuper Academy.

Ce fut un immense honneur d’être aujourd’hui dans mon alma mater pour le débat des candidats, en représentant le Parti conservateur du Canada. Débattre devant les élèves de Kuper a été pour moi un moment très symbolique. Être accueilli(e) à nouveau dans cette école par le personnel et les élèves formidables m’a rappelé pourquoi j’ai décidé de m’engager en politique. Hardly anyone believes they can build a better life for themselves or their children through their own efforts...many worry about sliding down the social order...owning a home is not a realistic goal for many... inequality between those who rent and those who own has become a key driver of social, economic and political conflict... pursuing a post-secondary education is no longer considered a reliable path to social mobility...fewer young people choose post secondary education and those who do see it less as a path to a successful career than a way to reinforce their membership in the 'elite.'
