@leftyzag@DonnyRoss1872 Deep dive into mid am golf compared to ams or pro golf. It’s not the Rory 340 push draw drives, but carving it into fairways, very competent iron shots, and wild short games. Nickel sized wear spots on the blades and sniper level putting.
@shanebacon What I don’t get is the clubs are built to 6 iron length which he developed before he had speed. If he wanted to keep same length just go to like 8 or 9 iron length, then his lofts and distances will be way closer to the rest of the guys out there.
@SHistorians Drivers, FWs and hybrids have b&r so it’s just using that tech in the context of his lofts and speed.
Fleetwood has a 9 wood at 24* loft…compared to Bryson’s 7 iron at 25*.
JDay is using Avodas at a “normal” speed, which is more interesting to see if there’s a benefit.
@TourSwingsTommy Basically the Rory ball flight before that was popular, moon high draws. Also notoriously played retail mid-cap irons with stock R7s and Adam’s speedlines. Having seen it in person he absolutely flushes it.
@BowTied_Golfer I totally don’t understand the strong loft trend for irons. I get the point it’s about launch and ignore the lofts, but you’re trying to hit a number, not trying to hit a PW 160 yards. My kryptonite is fliers with irons which absolutely destroys a round.
