@BiblicalBeauty Yes, after a long illness, so my wife feels like she's been mourning her loss for a couple years, but it's still not easy. One thing that she's grateful for: her mom is no longer in pain and mental anguish, but is now united with the Savior Jesus Christ. What a wonderful comfort.
@andrew_graham96 I think that your conjecture about the syncretism and Romish expansion in the New World is very interesting. I've thought this for years. But the few Romish friends I've had have been so nice and so sincere, I feel bad about launching the theory on them.
I woke up @ 1:10am and my bedroom door - which we leave closed - was open.
I saw no one. It was pitch black. Then I heard a barely audible whisper:
“Mama.”
I grabbed my phone and turned on the flashlight. No one to be seen.
Another barely audible whisper: “Maaamaaaaa.”
I got out of bed and looked in the hallway. My adorable, lovely, sweet toddler was standing in the hallway. Whispering my name. Acting like an 18th century ghost because he didn’t wanna wake up his baby brother, just me.
What a sweet boy, being so considerate and throwing me into a horror movie like that.
@BobTheBaptist I have often thought that about Andrew's point about syncretism and American Romanism. Is he on Twitter? I'd love to tell him how much I think he's right. Could you tell him that a random guy on Twitter thinks he's right?
@RandallBirtell@HonestYPTweets As much as I enjoy his music—memorized it—after having listened to as many interviews and concert quotes as I can, I think Rich would have deconstructed. As grounded in scripture as his songs were, he played with some dark ideas.
@TomHicks2LCF@ShawnWGillogly Where would you start a theology of the spiritual realm(s) and the angels, demons, and whatever else is out there that we don't know about which inhabit it?
@TomHicks2LCF I've never read Heiser, but think a robust exegesis of Paul's use of ἐπουρανίοις in Ephsians a profitable place to start a theology of the spiritual realm. I would not start in chapter 6, though. (I'd also include 4:10 "ὑπεράνω πάντων τῶν οὐρανῶν.") Where does Heiser start?
Please note that a godly man IS NOT THREATENED by a wise and godly wife.
A godly man *wants* a wife who is gifted and offers wise counsel.
This is how a truly godly man talks about his godly wife:
“Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all" (Proverbs 31:29)
@EddyEkofo She did a great job! The overall proportions and the values are good. Tell her to watch out for features that swim a little. It's hard to tack them down so they don't rotate or move one way or the other. However, she did a great job detailing those individual features.

@DougTenNapel I strongly doubt that AI is a new consciousness that we are inventing. I agree that it's more like a tool. However, what if it is a tool like a Ouija board? I mean, you can use that to spell or you can use it to talk to ... something nonhuman?
