@LAMBDENA Unfortunately, government can only create a framework of opportunity that allows people to make better lives for themselves. Government can’t make people better off. Perhaps that’s where we’ve gone wrong.
@GeorgeFoulkes@theSNP@ScottishLabour It’s indyRefN where N equals the one they win. They are relentless and will never give it a rest. That’s why we need to vote them OUT on 7 May. #neverendum
@Iain_L I will take him seriously when he says he’s returning to Scotland and is so confident in the new Scottish currency that he is investing all his millions in it. Until then, it’s all hot air.
@AgentP22 I knew it would be a disaster for Scotland and voted against it in 1997. I do not believe Scotland would be any worse today without it. It has been a job creation scheme for third rate politicians most of whom couldn’t run a bath let alone a country.
@ScotExpress Yes, as long as they work, pay taxes and contribute to our economy. If they come to start businesses and employ people, even better. These will only happen when Scotland has a favourable tax regime. Most Scottish politicians don’t have a clue about basic economics
@boswelltoday We should also be encouraging people from elsewhere I. The UK to relocate to Scotland and setup businesses and employ people. That won’t happen when it is more expensive. We should be cutting taxes and growing the economy.
@paulhutcheon He has nothing to grow the Scottish economy, he can’t borrow for revenue expenditure so how is going to pay for all the extra freebies? Surely not cuts elsewhere?
