Great paper by @KoonsLab et al in @Ecol_Evol proposing benchmarks in adaptive resource management to know when we learn in monitoring/ modeling/decision-making. In 🦆 harvest, N(t+1) = N(t) model gives better N forecasts than complex models.

Thanks @edyong209 for covering this. It is hard for people to imagine just how productive our oceans were before industrial whaling disrupted them. Whales are essential components of functional & productive marine ecosystems - and we need to treat them that way.
