Honored to announce my new role in the Trump Administration as Deputy Director of Public Affairs at the @TheJusticeDept.
It is a privilege to serve under the leadership of @POTUS and @DAGToddBlanche as we work to combat fraud, dismantle cartels and transnational criminal organizations, strengthen immigration enforcement, and uphold the rule of law for the American people.
Grateful to my wife, family, colleagues, and all those dedicated to this important mission.
Onward.
This Department of Justice has filed DENATURALIZATION ACTIONS in various U.S. district courts against 17 individuals accused of serious offenses.
“When criminal aliens exploit the naturalization process by breaking the law, there are consequences. Criminal aliens are lying about their past crimes, including drug dealers, sexual predators, and fraudsters. Gaining U.S. citizenship is a privilege and under the steadfast leadership of President Trump, this Department of Justice maintains a zero-tolerance policy for the abuse of this process,” said Acting Attorney General @DAGToddBlanche. “We continue to work around the clock with our interagency partners to make sure U.S. citizenship is granted to those who truly deserve it.”

Overnight, U.S. forces seized the M/T Davina (a/k/a/ Lenore), a supertanker with the capacity for up to two million barrels of oil, and which is listed under U.S. Treasury Dept. sanctions on Iran’s petroleum and petrochemical sectors. The vessel is part of Iran’s Ghost Fleet, a network of illicit shipping facilitators that have enabled the Iranian regime to earn critical energy revenues, undermine stability in the region, and attack U.S. partners and allies.
This seizure is part of DOJ’s work with our whole-of-government partners to disrupt Iran’s illicit oil smuggling and revenue generation that benefit the government of Iran and the IRGC.
Assistant Attorney General Colin McDonald joined @FoxandFriends this morning to discuss the new @FBIMostWanted Fraudsters list that was announced in Ohio yesterday. Americans and people around the world can now see these fraudsters faces, so they can no longer hide in the dark.

DOJ FRAUD CHIEF: Fraudsters Should Fear a 6 A.M. Knock on the Door
Ohio is becoming the first state to partner with the Justice Department’s new National Fraud Enforcement Division as federal officials build a prosecutor-led national fraud detection center designed to break down information silos and expose taxpayer fraud.
In @MehekCooke's exclusive interview with Assistant Attorney General Colin McDonald, they discussed why the @TheJusticeDept launched its inaugural state partnership roundtable in Ohio, how data sharing could help investigators identify fraudsters who target multiple government programs, and why other states should join the effort.
McDonald said the goal is not only to prosecute fraud but also to deter it.
“I want fraudsters worried about six o’clock in the morning,” McDonald said.
They also discussed taxpayer frustration over the lack of transparency surrounding government spending, the consequences of agencies withholding records, and the need for a nationwide response to fraud.
McDonald said the Justice Department has announced more than 550 major fraud takedowns, arrests, convictions, and sentences across the United States in approximately 64 days.

🚨Four Illegal Alien Tren de Aragua Members PLEAD GUILTY to Double Murder in 2024
The TdA members also pleaded guilty to shooting and injuring a third U.S. Citizen during the May 2024 Shooting in the Bronx following the Homeland Security Task Force Investigation.
“Thanks to the hard work of our law enforcement partners and prosecutors, these four Tren de Aragua gang members will now face justice for their part in the ruthless and senseless murders of two Americans and the attempted murder of a third person in the Bronx two years ago,” said Acting Attorney General @DAGToddBlanche. “As a former Assistant U.S. Attorney who prosecuted violent crimes and gangs in the Bronx, this case hits home for me. Tren de Aragua is a terrorist organization with no place and no future in the United States, and this Department of Justice will not stop until we have rooted out, dismantled and destroyed them.”

Today, Jamshid Ghomi, a dual U.S.-Iranian citizen who lives in a $35 million mansion in Orange County, California, was arrested on a federal criminal complaint charging him with selling computer technology to Iranian companies and Iran’s government — including technology to help with Iran’s military and nuclear program.
These allegations assert that the defendant violated U.S. sanctions against Iran, aided one of our nation’s enemies, supported Iran’s nuclear program, and got rich doing it. Not only is he being arrested today, but we also are beginning the process of seizing his mansion, which was purchased with his illegal proceeds. Thanks to the work of @USAttyEssayli’s office, @CommerceGov, and @IRS_CI’s Los Angeles Field Office, he will face the full force of justice.
