Dear friends - we are happy to confirm that the memorial concert for Matthew will be happening as planned on the 5th October at 11:30am at the Wigmore Hall. Please feel free to repost or pass this on to anyone who would like to attend.
If you would like to attend, please send an email to [email protected] so that we have an idea of numbers.
We would like to thank The Wigmore Hall for their kind invitation to hold this memorial.
From David and family.
We are pleased to invite all of Matthew's friends and colleagues to a memorial concert in celebration of Matthew's life on Thursday October 5th 2023 at 11:30am at The Wigmore Hall. We will publish full details later.
From Matthew's family: We are devastated that our son, husband and brother has been taken from us so suddenly, but are relieved he didn't have to suffer for long.
We will miss him more than words can say but are taking comfort from reading how much he meant to do many.
Charles Windsor wants a more "inclusive" #coronation. I think he's missing the point. Monarchy's inherently *exclusive*, making us bow down to someone because of who his ancestors were. An inclusive monarchy is no more possible than hot ice cream or vegetarian lions. #NotMyKing
@TwitOpOldFarts@wagners_ring I'm rather enjoying these off-the-wall retellings (cf also Schwarz in Bayreuth) if they follow their own logic and still throw insight at the original...
Whoβs worse? Sunak overturning democratic decisions in Scotland, Starmer agreeing with them for political capital or just your average basic bitch transphobe in the workplace (even in theatre companies I gather) or in the street. I have rarely felt so angry politically. β€οΈπ³οΈββ§οΈ
@acorbettn@NetworkRailEUS It's enough to make us travel further at the home end just for the relative convenience of a regular @TLRailUK service to and from London.
