🚨 WEDNESDAY MARKET UPDATE: OIL HITS $100 AS RATE HIKE BETS RISE
Wall Street is heading into Wednesday under pressure as oil prices surge above $100 a barrel, adding fresh inflation concerns ahead of this week’s key economic data.
📉 Dow futures: down about 0.65%
📉 S&P 500 futures: down about 0.40%
📉 Nasdaq 100 futures: down about 0.52%
The weakness follows Tuesday’s selloff, when the Dow dropped 1.2%, the S&P 500 fell 0.6% and the Nasdaq declined 0.3%.
Meanwhile, Treasury yields remain elevated:
🇺🇸 10 year Treasury yield: around 4.81%
🇺🇸 30 year Treasury yield: around 5.26%
The bigger concern is the combination of **higher oil + higher yields + rising rate hike expectations**.
Markets are now pricing in roughly a 60% chance of a 25 basis point Fed rate hike at the September meeting, according to CME FedWatch.
And the most important data is still ahead:
📊 Thursday: U.S. PPI
📊 Friday: U.S. CPI
These inflation reports could become critical for the next move in stocks, bonds and the dollar.
One interesting divergence:
⚡ Energy stocks could continue benefiting from higher oil prices
💻 Growth and technology stocks remain sensitive to rising yields
🏦 Financial stocks could react to the changing rate outlook
👀 The question for today:
**Can the stock market stabilize while oil remains above $100, or are higher energy prices about to create another wave of inflation fears?**
What are you watching most closely today: **Oil, Treasury yields, or the Fed?**

🚨 3 BIG DEVELOPMENTS BRINGING TRADITIONAL FINANCE ONCHAIN
CoinDesk’s latest “Public Keys” episode from the New York Stock Exchange highlights three developments worth watching closely.
📈 **Coinbase Tokenized Stocks**
Coinbase’s newly launched tokenized stocks are bringing traditional equities further onto blockchain rails, with trading volume already reaching a notable milestone.
🟢 **The First Zcash ETF**
Grayscale’s research chief Zach Pandl discusses the launch of the first Zcash ETF and what it could mean for institutional exposure to privacy focused crypto assets.
⚡ **Strategy’s STRC Goes DeFi**
Solstice CEO Ben Nadareski introduces strcUSX, a Solana based product designed to split the economics of Strategy’s STRC preferred stock into senior and junior tranches.
Three different products.
One bigger trend:
**Traditional finance is moving further onchain.**
Tokenized stocks, crypto ETFs and structured products are increasingly bringing traditional financial assets into blockchain based markets.
👀 Which trend do you think has the biggest long term potential?

🚨 THE NEXT AI TRADE MAY NOT BE NVIDIA
Everyone is watching $NVDA and the AI chip boom.
But there is another part of the AI story that could become just as important:
⚡ WHO GETS PAID TO POWER THE AI REVOLUTION?
AI data centers are being built at an incredible pace, but a massive data center is useless without enough electricity, grid access and the infrastructure to deliver it.
That creates a completely different investment opportunity.
🔌 POWER & ELECTRICAL INFRASTRUCTURE
$GEV
One of the major players in grid and electrical infrastructure, with demand tied to transformers, power generation and data center electrification.
$VRT
Moving deeper into the power stack, including microgrids and onsite power solutions. Its recent $2.6B acquisition of Utility Innovation Group shows how important power infrastructure has become to the data center industry.
$BE
Taking a different approach with fuel cell technology that can provide electricity closer to where data centers need it.
⚡ THEN LOOK AT THE COMPANIES THAT ALREADY HAVE POWER
$IREN
$CIFR
$CORZ
$APLD
$WULF
Several former Bitcoin mining operators already have land, power infrastructure and grid connections that could become valuable as AI companies compete for available electricity.
And then you have:
$VST
$CEG
Companies with significant exposure to power generation and reliable electricity, including nuclear power.
The bigger picture is simple:
AI needs GPUs.
GPUs need data centers.
Data centers need electricity.
And electricity needs an entire infrastructure ecosystem behind it.
The AI investment story may be expanding from **chips → data centers → power → grid infrastructure.**
👀 So the question I'm watching now is:
**Who will actually make the money supplying the electricity behind the next generation of AI?**
What stock are you watching in the AI power trade?

@nypost If the allegations are proven, this goes far beyond one individual. When someone entrusted with public safety is accused of helping a family member evade accountability, it raises serious questions about ethics, oversight, and public trust.
@SimonDixonTwitt The most interesting part is the distinction between ownership, revenue rights, and creditor claims. If those interests remain contested, the real value of the Venezuela deal may depend less on the oil itself and more on who ultimately controls the cash flows.
@MumbaichaDon The bigger story may be diversification rather than a sudden loss of trust. If more sovereign investors are reducing concentration in U.S. assets while increasing exposure to gold and other reserves, that could signal a meaningful shift in global portfolio strategy.
@IGR_Media Absolutely heartbreaking. A celebration turned into tragedy in seconds. Thoughts are with everyone affected and the families who lost loved ones. 🕊️
@ThomasSowell The headline is significant, but the methodology matters. A preliminary estimate is a starting point — the next rounds of data will show whether this is a sustained trend.
🚨 NVIDIA CEO: “AGI HAS ARRIVED”
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang has declared that “AGI has arrived” following OpenAI’s launch of GPT 6 Astra, highlighting just how quickly AI capabilities and computing demand are accelerating.
According to Huang:
🔥 Astra was trained on more than 100,000 NVIDIA Grace Blackwell NVLink72 systems
🔥 More than 400,000 additional GPUs are expected to come online
🔥 OpenAI describes Astra as its most advanced model yet
The bigger story for investors may be the infrastructure behind the AI boom.
As AI models become more capable, the demand for GPUs, networking, data centers and advanced computing infrastructure continues to expand.
For NVIDIA, this could reinforce the importance of the company’s position at the center of the AI computing ecosystem.
👀 The real question now:
How much further can AI capabilities advance, and how much computing power will the next generation of models require?
#NVIDIA #NVDA #OpenAI #GPT6 #AI #AGI #ArtificialIntelligence #Semiconductors #TechStocks #Investing
@AshCrypto The resilience is real, but the next reward will depend on liquidity and market structure—not just surviving the FUD. If BTC holds its range, the setup for broader risk-on rotation gets much more interesting. 👀
🚨 TRUMP TARGETS THE CANADIAN DOLLAR AS U.S. CANADA TRADE TENSIONS ESCALATE
President Donald Trump criticized the value of the Canadian dollar on Sunday, saying the exchange rate with the U.S. dollar is “unacceptable” and suggesting the imbalance has persisted for years.
The Canadian dollar is currently trading around 72 cents against the U.S. dollar. Recent data showed the loonie at roughly 72.5 U.S. cents on September 3.
The comments add another layer to the ongoing U.S. Canada trade dispute.
🇺🇸 The U.S. has imposed 50% tariffs on certain Canadian imports
🇨🇦 Canada plans retaliatory tariffs on about $20B of U.S. goods starting September 8
🚗 Auto, steel, aluminum, lumber and other cross border industries remain in focus
💱 Currency policy could now become another issue in future trade negotiations
For investors, the key question is whether concerns over the Canadian dollar remain limited to rhetoric or eventually become part of broader trade policy.
A weaker Canadian dollar can affect exporters, import costs and companies with integrated North American supply chains.
👀 Could the Canadian dollar become the next major pressure point in the U.S. Canada trade dispute?
