Today, during the debate on Senator @Creighton’s SB 2 School Choice ESA, I was reminded of an anti-bullying bill I co-authored in 2017 (85R), with Senator Menendez (along with Senators Campbell, Hinojosa, Huffman, West). During that debate, @Menendez4Texas made such strong points that, as Republican Caucus Chair @senategop, I asked every Republican to support it on the floor, and the bill flew out of the Senate 31-0 unanimously, as Lt. Gov. @DanPatrick remembers well!

It was called David’s Law after a young man who was 16 years at the time lost his life after relentless bullying, and today, David’s Legacy Foundation just endorsed SB 2’s ESA as a... "necessary tool component of the toolkit for parents to find the best school for their child"..!
