Great day baking with @RichardBertinet in Bath today. Even with Covid precautions the day was just as enjoyable. Only disappointment was my “floppy” dough and platting!!
After having started Couch to 5k a few years ago I’ve tried to keep the discipline of a 5k at least a couple of times a week. Still find it hard mentally but so pleased when completed. Nice to escape from everything for 30 minutes or so!!
Trying to perfect my Sourdoughs. Really pleased with the starter as it appears to be really active! Recipe from @RichardBertinet Crust.. Eight Grain flour from @CotswoldFlour .
@RichardBertinet unfortunately I don’t think my starter was strong enough and these failed. Following starter recipe in Crust now. However got to stage 3 and was only adding 100gm of water instead of 200!! Should I start again..
Two sourdough balls going for their 16-18 hour prove. @RichardBertinet I worked the dough for quite a long period but was still a quite sticky after the two one hour rests. Hopefully they will come out of the baskets cleanly!
Really happy with this loaf. Recipe from @RichardBertinet Dough, eight grain flour from @CotswoldFlour. Getting to grips with @everhot oven temperatures too.
Yeast and Ale Poolish loaves after a slow overnight prove in the fridge!! Looking forward to these for breakfast. Just add butter and homemade jam @RichardBertinet
