@CinemaTweets1 One of the greats of a dying breed. Cinema needs action starts, but looking at the current landscape I don’t think anyone can carry the mantle like Reeves, Cruise, or Stallone have
@nataskuashi I think one of the things missing in pop today is loud, noisy, in your face production. A staple of millenial pop that’s unfortunately been phased out
@Tiijdij Recovery from Eminem. Obviously I knew who he was, but I had just gotten my first ipod and had a little more freedom to choose what I wanted to listen to. Still has a special place in my heart even though I’m sure most fans aren’t too fond of it
@TheCinesthetic We just don’t get war movies like this any more. I’m sure it’s just due to general conflict fatigue we have as a population, but I wouldn’t mind seeing a good one make a splash at the box office
@TheCinesthetic I try not to be a victim of recency bias, but The Odyssey is one of the best third acts I’ve seen in a very long time. The audience reaction to the bow being plucked was a much needed reminder of just how awesome it is to experience an amazing movie in a crowd
@sillierdeadite I wonder what effect the prominence of short form content creators will have on the industry in the future. YT and sketch shows seem to be a great place to cultivate film making creativity in a way that stuff like tik tok is unable to in my opinion
