I have been in this industry as an artist, manager and executive for twenty-four years and I have seen a lot but I want to tell a story
The time I took a leap of faith...
Between late 2016 and early 2017, I met and tried to convince the Entertainment law team at ACAS Dentons (then just ACAS Law) to take me on as a client. Funny thing was I couldn't afford ACAS Law... to convince them to take me on pro bono, I prepared a presentation about my personal trajectory and my plans for the music industry. In that meeting was Mr Afolabi Caxton-Martins, Kike @yfalaye@tokunbo_k... they took me on and that was a turning point. I needed to show them I was serious and didn't want to let them down. I couldn't!
I remember visiting @adaoralumina to ask her for this space (first picture) at her office near Eric Moore in Surulere and I held the first programme the #InternshipWithGodwinTom
I've always been an optimist but starting my journey into educating people was something that was a new type of leap and I never stopped taking leaps of faith since then.
From my #10YearsALearner campaign to the #TMTWithGT programmes to #MBAForAfrica it has always been about just starting and building but the most important part?
I have seen firsthand that the true test of power and influence is in its distribution. We have opened doors for so many and they have opened for me as well.
Now we have taken another leap... #AMEDIProject a 5 Year project to attempt to address the deficits in Education, Finance and Policy and the @CTFoundtn team executed the launch event last week and we had attendees representing @WIPO@MastercardFdn@Fmactce_Nigeria the UK Govt, the French Government, MCSN and more...
We are attempting to build a future that works... join us!
Follow @ct.foundtn to stay updated on @cbaforafrica and #AMEDIProject activities!
