@BenStandig Could’ve been saying it like “that’s what we call on 4th down?” or “we need more urgency than that! That was 4th down”
That being said, my finger is hovering over the “fire Dan Quinn” button
Washington's revamped defensive line was supposed to be its prize of the offseason. The Commanders invested heavily in their front, signing Odafe Oweh to a massive deal and adding K'Lavon Chaisson, Charles Omenihu and Tim Settle. But their pass rush has been inconsistent, at best, and it's already lost contain multiple times, allowing Brock Purdy to convert a fourth-and-3 and a third-and-11 on scrambles.
So what ever happened to the rule where a QB is down where they start their dive forward? I feel like after they called Heinicke short on a TD on it, they have never called it again
Why not blow through. The line and try to get a fumbled snap or safety there? Why not call a timeout after the kneel down at the one and make them snap it again in the rain?
Man.
