Isa Torres transferring solidifies Florida State as no longer a tier I program, not just nationally but in the ACC. Really dark day for the school here…more thoughts on Tomahawk Talk @ 7:00 P:M. eastern time tonight.
One thing I’ve always liked about the NFL is that star players rarely hit free agency. Teams get rewarded for drafting and developing guys, and when a team has a ton of cap space it usually means they’ve been bad for a while.
That allows places like Buffalo and Green Bay the ability to compete with New York and LA. The two worst teams of the last decade play in New York, not because of market size but because of bad decisions. Meanwhile, Kansas City can draft well, keep its stars, and turn into a dynasty.
In baseball, small market teams almost never get to keep their best players. A $300 million gap between the highest and lowest payrolls just shouldn’t exist. Player freedom matters and players should get paid, but a real salary cap and a floor would force owners to spend and would be better for the sport long term.
@DTuskey@CollegeGameDay I will also admit notre dame probably would’ve beaten either of those teams on the field last night but at the end of the day, ND lost their two only tough games and spent the rest of the year beating up on bottom feeders. ND ultimately put themselves in this position
@DTuskey@CollegeGameDay I could’ve never guessed a team’s fans are so entitled that they think just being a popular brand means more than actually winning titles. I’ve officially seen it all
It’s crazy to me that there’s so many people in the cfb space complaining about JMU and Tulane in the playoffs but I haven’t seen anywhere near this much in the NFL about the NFC South getting a playoff spot every year. It’s sad that CFB is all about politics now
@JohnMassingale4 I agree that Notre Dame had a better case than Alabama but guess whose president voted for the current playoff format? You’re just salty Notre dame missed the playoffs so you throw a tantrum ignoring the fact no other team gets a guarantee to get in for next year
@TinyZoff@ChalkItUp66@Kucherov4Hart@NHL@penguins This is also a rule btw. Since it was within the final minute, the situation room can do this like I said. Believe it or not I kinda like when the rules are followed even if the officials don’t see the infraction at first
@TinyZoff@ChalkItUp66@Kucherov4Hart@NHL@penguins If you can show me where it says the situation room isn’t allowed to step in and change the call please show me. No rules need to be revised if they weren’t broken
@TinyZoff@ChalkItUp66@Kucherov4Hart@NHL@penguins This must be your first hockey game. This isn’t the first time the situation room has reviewed a hand pass (sharks blues 2019 WCF game 3 is a prominent example). The situation room is allowed to buzz in and call back goals like this
@ESPN_BillC As an FSU fan, this is one of the worst takes I’ve ever seen. Pretty impressive you described this exact same scenario in the one two years ago. Just say you wanna give notre dame a free pass
