Wouldn’t really call this an “ugly phase” I’m just very novice at iconography so forgive me for any mistakes! (Wip obviously)

@RheaMaria_ I’ll have to pick up that book then, any other recommendations for reading? Iconographers seem so rare to come by sometimes in person, but I’ve met a few. Great commission work by the way and thank you

Researching St. Augustine more as I’ve been reading his works and I (the catechumen of one year) am still learning the different names for hymns and prayers… so I found the Akathist to St. Augustine and it was very beautiful 🥹

Even though I’m only 19, I often feel like a perpetual failure. Is there any prayers or advice on this?

Honest question: how common is it for people in the Church to remain celibate without taking on, say, a monastic vow/becoming a monastic? I’ve been wanting to stay celibate during my life but my elder male friends (in the Church) say against that.
