This guy - absolutely phenomenal effort to put it all together! Get around some great football content in the build-up to the World Cup.

If Australian football clubs want to own build / own their own grounds, are modular stadiums the way to go?
Concrete stadiums are too expensive for our A-League and NPL clubs. But a shift in thinking could change the commercial dynamics. Thoughts?

SixFive says it can build @BerwickCityFC a 7500-seat stadium in 12 months for about $30M AUD 👀
Does Berwick need that now? No.
But there are some A-League and NPL / Championship clubs who do…

@FabClemm394@BerwickCityFC This isn’t a figure plucked out of nowhere. This mob has been investigating the Australian market for some time. This is a real cost estimate based on Australian conditions and regulations. It’s a mentality shift that is required.

@fingerj86@football360au Would be interesting for sure! Down to Shepparton too, perhaps… But yeah, Luke did acknowledge the cash. Always the hurdle…
He suggested maybe an end of season champions league style tournament for winners of those regional comps?
These are exactly the types of stories I want to explore on the Building Blocks podcast.
The curious case of Yoogali Soccer Club.
Where on earth does an aspirational regional club go if they aren’t connected properly to a metro pyramid?

Football Australia - not Member Federations - should determine where awkwardly positioned regional clubs should play.
Discuss. Thoughts?
It’s the topic we explore via Yoogali SC, which is stranded in no man’s land after being axed from Canberra’s NPL.

@muzza_316@clancylowana Or like, hypothetically. A club in Lismore. Shows promise, wants to rise. It might make sense for them to get fed towards Gold Coast / Football Qld rather than Newcastle / NNSW. Possibly bad example, but you know what I mean.
@muzza_316@clancylowana No I think that’s very fair! Good call. I think more what I was thinking was not so much FA being able to say you can play in NPL and you can’t”. But more, say, in the case of Yoogali - “you’re kind of in the middle of everywhere and nowhere - your best fit is X, so play there.”
