@profplum99@T3_RM@Kathleen_Tyson_ This is a HUGE problem now. Applying for jobs at companies which require you to create an account (Eg when they use Workday), it is a GIANT pita.
It takes WAY too long to apply to these jobs, and eventually it just isn't worth it.
@josephdviviano You _want_ proteins to change conformation when they link to a receptor.
Its like saying wouldn't it be better if we welded the hinges on doors shut.
And if he is that poorly informed, _all_ of his suppositions are dubious at best.
@josephdviviano The biggest cost to music sellers (Spotify, Apple, etc) are licensing costs for existing music.
Eliminating those licence costs by eliminating the artist _must_ be extremely tempting.
@EponymouslyAnon Living in one of those 4 regions, I may have just missed the giant spike as I wasn't looking to buy / sell.
But overall, housing resilience has surprised.
@otteroooo Musk is making a REALLY bad decision.
Value in Twitter is best content bubbles to top.
Smarter approach is to give big benefits to Twitter blue (Eg substack links, long form tweets, ability to edit, etc.)
This will kill Twitter's value so fast, won't last a week.
@rossiadam@ThHappyHawaiian It is the fault of the USA not having a plan / process in place prior to a crisis.
See Germany's system, which is a "true temp layoff" vs termination. This maintains employee - employer connection, and is copayed by gov AND company.

@KiwiPMI@PauloMacro Completely agree on the alt view and the Blood.
We also need to "catch up" on creative destruction delayed by decades of Fed "cost of money" mismanagement.
Which involves significant zombie killing.
@KiwiPMI@PauloMacro He is clearly taking his book. "bondholders bearing losses is a new phenomenon"
While I agree expectations were very poorly communicated, and created lots of uncertainty... The choice was and still is unrestrained inflation OR financial asset price cuts.
@rossiadam ... All you have done is create a huge, unprotected dead leg of stagnant, unprotected water in your house.
This would actually increase the microbial bio burden in the water in your house.
(experience - I work in biopharma and have to deal with Water for Injection)
