@DominicFrisby I have been there and around the area many times. You see it best when on the train between Swindon and London.
I doubt that was the intention of whoever made it.
@EricLDaugh Except they haven't actually said this. Just a vague commitment to allow exploitation of existing licenses. Nothing new.
Clearly Trump is trying to make things happen, but I don't think he understands how entrenched the climate thing is over here.
@DanielJHannan The job was to stop the unions taking the piss, but this got extended to dropping a nuke on the industrial base of the country and the millions who worked in it. This is the absolute core reason we are now where we are.

@LeoKearse While I agree with the basic sentiment I would not class Musk as a good capital allocator. He is first and foremost an engineer. His businesses are not great at making money. Their valuations are derived from something more like religious fervour than actual business sense.
@PaulEmbery I hadn't thought of that event for ages, but you may well be right.
For me, it was the banning of smoking in pubs in 2007, followed a year or so later by the response to the GFC in 2008. That was the biggie.
@baroninvestment@elonmusk It may well not stay at these levels. Way over-valued IMO.
The existing satellite launch business may be able to turn a profit, but once they start going to the Moon (or even Mars) the money will start flying out the door rapidly.
Space is good, but it costs.
