@oz_farmer_nerd Bought a set in 2016 for this reason. We were running rigid macdons - 1 with lifters, 1 without. The lifters came off after the first two runs. Rigid MD front in float mode will clean them up nicely
@DazzaHughes4 We have both mate and much prefer the 18V. 12V nice and light but much slower to pump and lacks the grunt of the 18V. Still serves a purpose and a vast improvement on the manual alternative.
@kentonp_ag@sbodes12 I'm only seeing it in the very late emerging tillers. These crops went through a severe moisture stress period through July and sent a lot of late ones since. Yep pretty sure our hyper yielding site has the decimal in the wrong place 🤣
How common is an extra ear forming at the flag axil in wheat?
Finding a few of these in some late emerging tillers. Might be the missing piece in those hyper yielding trials 😝 @kentonp_ag
@edludemann @agrobaz@DMAg_consultant@BoggaAg We saw a bit of this in our region in 2014. Significant crop loss due to PSPE application of metribuzin followed by a reasonable rain event. Field Peas were re-planted in some situations. Worry is if rainfall slows and herbicide band remains just below new seed(heavier soil here)
Analysing recent rainfall trends for Wilmington (Flinders Ranges, SA). Concerning if this continues. Unfortunately the dryer winters/springs also lead to increased frost occurrence and severity, limiting how early we can push the flowering window. (Records date back to 1900)
