Throughout his life, he united society and left a legacy that transcends the borders of his country. May he rest in peace.

With bitterness, sadness, and condemnation, we commemorate the fourth anniversary of Russia's war against Ukraine. A war that has brought devastation, suffering, and death to hundreds of thousands of soldiers on both sides of the frontline. A war that has destroyed the lives of innocent families and forced many to seek refuge abroad. I appreciate that many of them have found shelter and a chance for a peaceful life in Slovakia.

It is high time to end this tragedy as soon as possible through diplomatic negotiations that will lead to the establishment of a just, lasting, and sustainable 🕊️ peace. This #peace should provide real guarantees that fighting will not resume and simultaneously open the path for Ukraine to achieve peaceful prosperity and create conditions for starting accession talks for its entry into the 🇪🇺 #EU.

#Diplomacy must be the only means of resolving any issues in the relationship between 🇸🇰 #Slovakia and 🇺🇦 #Ukraine.
