Football players are humans too 💔
Marc Cucurella talked about raising his autistic son and the struggles behind the scenes… I’ll be watching him differently at the FIFA World Cup.
Footballers carry things we never see outside the pitch 🥺⚽️
Tuchel explains why he subbed off Rice and put James in midfield:
🗣 "Declan had some unusual ball losses, and I saw a bit of discomfort. I didn't want to take any risks, and if I take Declan off, which I never want to do, it was the moment to protect.
I think Reece James did so well to replace him in midfield; he did a fantastic game."
🚨🗣️ Toni Kroos: “Jude Bellingham is one of my absolute favorite players. He has everything to show.
He can be an incredibly complete player who can be the best in his position. He has all the attributes for it. He has an incredible understanding of the game.
He has the physicality to hold his own in defensive duels. He has a good finish with his left, right foot and head. He goes into the box, understands the game. He has a great mentality.
I don't know if people notice it, but I am a BIG FAN OF HIS (laughs)."
🚨👋🏼 Marc Cucurella on leaving Chelsea for Real Madrid: “For me and my family it was an opportunity we couldn’t refuse, and I’m very happy with the decision we made”.
“When you’re a kid, you dream of playing for big teams, and I think Real Madrid is one of them”, told El Mundo.
Man, every time I look at Argentina's squad, it never really looks like the squad of "the best team in the world" on paper.
You look at the clubs they play for, their individual status, their club form, and compared to some other national teams there's nothing overwhelmingly special about it.
But the moment they put on that Argentina shirt, everything clicks. Suddenly they're playing with incredible chemistry, balance, intensity, and confidence. The whole becomes far greater than the sum of its parts.
We have to give the credit to Scaloni for that. What a manager. And when you remember the state Argentina were in when he first took over in 2019 compared to where they are now, it's honestly one of the greatest international coaching jobs we've ever seen.
He might genuinely be the GOAT of international managers.
🚨🗣️ 𝗡𝗘𝗪: Wayne Rooney: "Cristiano Ronaldo is very often standing in an offside position, but that's not him being lazy, he is actually being very clever. It means that Congo constantly has to search for him."
"And when they search for him, he automatically creates space for his teammates."
"So just keep an eye on his positioning, it's so clever."

the English have gaslit themselves into accepting absolutely mediocre facilities in the name of “soul” when their league deserves way better.
Imagine the stadium Chelsea could build with the funds they’ve spent on bums over the last decade….
