Hello #artistsontwitter! Tomorrow marks the start of #Junebug, where you are encouraged to make insect-themed art! I couldn't find any #Junebug2022 prompts, so I made my own list. Feel free to use, share, & tag me.
Happy longest day! Sadly my attempt at #Junebug2022 must either stop or become Julybug, as lots of non-art Life Stuff is going on. But I was determined to do a honeybee piece for today and whipped these up. Nothing says 'summer' like the buzz of bees. Hope to ink & paint soon.
@DJHbutterflies@savebutterflies It's always a delight to see these beauties. They have to be one of my favourite moths (but then how can you have a favourite?!).

#Junebug2022 No. 4: Stonefly (order Plecoptera). Maybe not as charismatic as a butterfly, but do you need to be when your group has survived for at least 290 million years?
Fun fact: They prefer cold water and are most diverse in temperate climates.
#Junebug2022 prompt no. 1 is 'ladybird'. Here's what I came up with. Better pics to follow on my Flickr, but that will have to wait until my laptop comes back from repairs.
Fun fact: If threatened, ladybirds secrete a distasteful yellow liquid from their leg joints.
@TheBrewLady1 Aww! I swear, no other animal is as good at relaxing as a cat. My fat tabby friend also joined me this morning (mostly to demand food...).
