@NiecyOKeeffe When my brothers coffin was being lowered into the grave, a handle broke off and flew up, hitting the lid with a loud thud. Another brother "That's alright, he can fix that himself, it'll give him something to do." We all roared 😂😂

@obriekp @NiecyOKeeffe Went to my grannys wake when I was 7, and it felt normal. English born husband first saw a corpse at my mothers wake. He was 34! I always found it strange in England that the remains were never viewed, and waiting a week for a funeral is normal.

@NiecyOKeeffe My brothers dug grandas grave. The priest ran up & said it was the job of the gravediggers. My da, who told him to go away & fill in his paperwork. Priest came back with a bottle of whiskey and 4 glasses, and they all toasted granda! Brothers u/18 too!
