There is really no point in travelling, making plans, or going out of your way to see someone you have missed for a long time, only to sit beside each other and spend the whole time pressing your phones.

The whole essence of meeting after a long time is connection—talk, laugh, catch up, share stories, create memories and enjoy each other’s presence. Your phone will always be there; that particular moment with your loved ones may not come again.

Sometimes, put the phone down and be present with the people you came to see.

There’s nothing as sweet as climaxing your holiday after a very busy past two weeks by reconnecting with your old secondary school and university friends—the Barracks children. 😂❤️

Coming together to talk about how we grew up, remembering the good old days, bringing up those childhood stories and laughing at how life has changed for everyone.

And then, sleeping and waking up with family around you, sitting together and discussing those old family feuds from when we were growing up. 😂😂😂😂 Somehow, those childhood arguments that felt so serious back then are now some of the funniest memories.

Good friends, family, old memories and plenty of laughter—what a beautiful way to round off a holiday. ❤️
