The rule of 3
- 1/3 of your trainings will be super bad
- 1/3 of your trainings will feel « okay »
- 1/3 of your trainings will feel amazing !
Stop stressing over 1 bad training 🤝
Before last year, I had a relentless obsession. I wanted to win the Champions League desperately, and there wouldn't be a day where I didn't think about all of the heartbreaks. All that mattered in my life was winning that competition
We finally won it, and I was there at the Final in Istanbul, attending 8 of our 13 UCL games. It truly was a childhood dream come true and I'm not ashamed to say it was the greatest day of my life
But this season, I matured. I learned football is not solely about winning, but about the experiences. It's about the random friends you make at games, travelling to new places, the feeling of belonging to a family and of course, the absolute privilege of watching some of the world's best players
I've experienced things 99.99% of football fans never will, and I know how lucky I am. But now I've learned to love football regardless of results. I've been to some draws this season which were amongst the very best games I've ever been to, like the 4-4 at Stamford Bridge and the 3-3 at the Bernabeu, and will never ever regret going to them. I now love football beyond victory, no matter how many pieces of metal we add to our cabinet after already winning it all
I've seen us conquer Europe and it was truly the most wonderful achievement, anything now is a bonus. Whether we win it another 10 times or whether that was our only one, it's all the same to me. Then, now and forever, I'm City 'til I die 🩵
