@vigilantersa Yeah, it is probably part of their overall shortcoming in general, not being able to resonate with the younger, neglected but economically active crowd. They were making progress in that direction recently though.
The resistance to Starlink isn't about regulatory compliance, it's about protecting the profit margins of legacy telecommunications monopolies.
Local operators have failed to bridge the rural digital divide for decades, leaving millions completely isolated.
Now, a service comes along that can instantly deliver massive speeds anywhere on the map, and suddenly "regulations" are a priority.
It is classic economic gatekeeping, holding back the future of an entire population just to preserve the market dominance of legacy networks.
Die #Afrikaanse weergawe van "Why the long face?" is " 'n Afdraende gesig soos 'n dors bobbejaan" en ek dink dit is bewys dat Afrikaans blerrie oulik is.
Media’s 13th apology to AfriForum — and counting: Today, yet another apology to @afriforum was published on @News24’s website. This time, the apology was for misinformation and falsehoods published about AfriForum by @City_Press on News24. This marks the thirteenth apology to AfriForum from various media outlets.
The irony is that media houses such as @News24, @DailyMaverick, @MailandGuardian, @eNCA, @Newzroom405, @SundayWorldZA, @TheCitizen_News, and others—who regularly accuse AfriForum of spreading “disinformation”—are in fact the ones spreading disinformation by publishing falsehoods about AfriForum.
Watch this space! More apologies to AfriForum are likely to follow.

John the Baptist didn't tell people to invite Jesus into their hearts (or lives)...
He said: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
Matthew 3:2
Where do you think did all these police & vehicles come from all of a sudden?
Did they rent cops just for the #G20 or are they just not coming to work in normal times?
It just goes to show how little the @GovernmentZA cares about South Africans but puts up a show for the world.
