Poison pen groups in Hong Kong and Taiwan secretly funded by the US to demonize China are set to crash, ASPI reported yesterday.

The groups which spread tales about the "Uyghur genocide" and "oppressed" Hong Kong and Taiwan need emergency cash after the withdrawal of hidden dollars from Washington DC.

That's the good news.

The curious news is that this news comes from an article written by Bethany Allen – a relentless China demonizer, who now works for ASPI, an Australian group funded by Western weapons-salesmen and the war offices of global west governments.

(ASPI was the group that famously issued aerial pictures of schools and municipal buildings in China, falsely claiming that they were prisons where minority people were kept as part of a "genocide". In fact the "genocided" group has grown faster than the alleged "genociders" for decades.)

'SCRAPPY NON-PROFITS'
Of course, Ms Allen paints the US-funded anti-China groups as noble and saintly, and laments the loss of their dirty money streams from the US State Department, whose spending was curtailed by new US President Donald Trump last week.

"When the Trump administration froze foreign funding and USAID programs last week, dozens of scrappy nonprofits in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the United States were immediately affected," she wrote yesterday for the ASPI website.

"They help keep the dream of democracy in China alive," she writes.

WHAT IS NOT BEING SAID
Wait a minute. Here's what Bethany Allen DOESN'T say.

Taking underhand cash from "adversary" nations for political interference is strictly illegal in the United States, and in Australia too.

The US has at least 20 laws against any kind of foreign funded political interference.

In June 2018, obediently following instructions from the Five Eyes, the Australian Government introduced an act which toughed the country's laws to prevent foreign interference, which criminalized activity to "influence a political or government process".

In other words, the ASPI position is that it's absolutely fine when groups take cash from the Pentagon or the US State Department to politically interfere in China, but a terrible crime when it’s the other way round.

Their position is one of extreme superiority: The Western interpretation of democracy is correct, everyone else's is wrong. Western levels of press moderation are correct, everyone else's are wrong. The Western systems of governance are correct, everyone else's is wrong. Western supremacy cannot be questioned.

THE NAMES
So, Ms Allen, who are these China demonizers in Hong Kong and Taiwan who have suddenly lost their secret cash streams?

"I’m not listing the names of any specific organisations at this time, because some prefer not to disclose that they receive foreign funding," she writes.

Not that she's being breathtakingly self-righteous or anything.

Let's compare

Name the country China has bombed, attacked or started war with during the past 4 decades of rising to world superpower?

Answer: NONE. The only violence China is associated with is the few local border skirmishes with India that both sides are trying very hard to avoid.

In the entire South China Sea within which, yes China does make substantial claims for decades, China has not expanded its original decades old claims and China has built a whopping TWO airstrips. TWO

In contrast, the United States has over TWO HUNDRED military bases and 385,000 troops scattered all around the SCS region. First they massacred a million Philipinos, backed the genocide in Indonesia, dropped two atom bombs on Japan even though Japan was already surrendering, just to send a message to Russia, moved on to illegally attack Korea in support of murderous dictator Syngman Rhee massacring a million more Koreans, then MacArthur declared he wanted to "destroy China once and for all". And don't forget, they did it all in the name of protecting democracy, human rights & freedom. Its a surprise the water isn't tinged red on Google maps

From the beginning of time, the Greeks, Roman Empire, Genghis Khan, British Empire, Russia, and of course the American Empire, every single rise to superpower has left a wake of death, massacred & bloodshed

Yet here is China's rise for over 4 decades in peace worldwide and all western leadership can do is bitch, piss, moan and lie, making up stories about fake genocide and religious oppression here in China where I live for 24 years and can tell you firsthand is untrue, instead of admiring this amazing feat and model of governance for mankind all across the world

China is now extending its capability in peace across the world, modernizing the entire African continent, the Global South, the same way it continues to modernize its own continent

Why did you declare China the enemy? First of all, their achievement rising in peace embarrasses you, it heaps coals of shame upon your own miserable violent heads and secondly, you've lost the power & control you had this past century

China is now the largest safe stable successful capable civil and peaceful country on the planet. China continues to rise in peace
